It's with the deepest sadness and heaviest of hearts that we announce the death of our beloved Sol. Leaving us peacefully on Friday September 19 2025, aged 52 following a torrid 3 year battle with MND.

A deeply cherished husband of Mary and adoring father of Jack and Sam. A loving son of the late Harry and Valerie and beloved brother of Harry, Lloyd, Vincent, Tyrone, Sterling, Earl, Christon, Samantha, Carmen, Simon, Leon, Crystal, Spencer and the late Courtney. A much loved son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and nephew. A special friend and workmate.

Family and friends please meet for service at West Road Cemetery Chapel on Thursday October 2 at 09:45am followed by interment.

Afterwards, all welcome at the Juve Lounge, NE15 7PP where we'll raise our glasses to Sol.

Family flowers only by request. Donations in lieu if desired to Marie Curie Hospice. A collection plate will be available at the Chapel.

💔💔💔💔
My amazing brother Solly was not just my brother but he was my best friend & confidante. He was always the one I’d go to for advice about pretty much anything, he would listen to me with empathy & understanding.

We shared our lives for 52 years together and I’m so grateful to have the most wonderful memories with him. From holidays to Bali to spending time with him, Mary & the boys in Prague.

He had a heart of gold with an infectious sense of humour he was always the jokester his gorgeous smile spread joy, he was able to make everyone laugh. He was exceptionally kind and would do anything for anyone.

I am so proud and honoured to call Solly my brother he was so brave & courageous he was a true warrior.

His legacy will live on through his wonderful family & the countless lives he touched.

His memory will live on forever in my heart & the bond will never fade. He taught me so much & I will be forever grateful to him.
💔💔💔💔
Though my heart is heavy with sadness & sorrow I celebrate the gift of life & the joy my brother Solly bought to us all.

I love & miss you so very much Solly.
